Terms of Use

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Alkan Vatansever, the developer of BiteClub (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you download BiteClub from the Apple App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and where it conflicts with these terms on your relationship with Apple, Apple’s terms win.

2. Your account

You can start as a guest or sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity on your account. A guest account lives only on the device until you link it to Apple or Google, so link it if you want to keep your diary when you change phones or sign out. You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires it, to use BiteClub.

3. Your content

You own everything you post: photos, ratings, notes, voice recordings, and messages. You give us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content only to operate BiteClub for you and for the squads you share it with. This includes sending photos to our AI provider to tag them. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups that roll off on schedule.

Only post content you have the right to post.

4. Squads and conduct

Squads are private groups, but other people are in them. Don’t use BiteClub to harass anyone, share content that is illegal, sexually explicit, or hateful, impersonate others, spam, or try to break or reverse-engineer the service. Squad owners can remove members. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. To report a problem, email contact@alkan.dev.

5. BiteClub Pro

BiteClub is free to use. BiteClub Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks extra features shown on the in-app paywall. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• If an introductory offer is available, it converts to the regular subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

6. AI and suggestions

BiteClub uses AI to tag dishes, estimate nutrition for a single bite, write recipes, and rank Keşfet suggestions. These outputs can be wrong. Nutrition details are rough estimates for curiosity, not medical, dietary, or allergy advice. Always check allergens with the restaurant. Suggestions are based on your own history. No restaurant pays to appear, and a suggestion is not an endorsement. Opening hours and details come from third parties and may be out of date.

7. Our app

The BiteClub app, name, logo, and design belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control. Map and place data come from third parties, including OpenStreetMap contributors (map tiles via OpenFreeMap), Foursquare Open Source Places, and Google, under their own terms.

8. Ending things

You can stop using BiteClub and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing contact@alkan.dev. We may suspend or end accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we ever shut BiteClub down, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and a way to export your bites.

9. Disclaimers and liability

We work hard to keep BiteClub reliable, but it is provided “as is”. We can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under your local law.

10. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. If we change these terms, we will update the date above and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
